The Basics Of Mindset In Your Fat Loss Journey

When it comes to your fat loss or weight loss journey, having the right mindset as you walk through that journey is so very important and can be the difference of gaining it back or finally keeping it off for good.
It is vitally important, never to approach your journey with any kind of diet mindset!
Diets are literally pretty much the definition of insanity. If you're going to do all of that work to lose the weight, why not do it in a way that produces more long lasting and permanent results so it's the last time you have to do it ever again.
It is extremely important that you deprogram from anything and everything you have ever learned about a diet or going on a diet!
It's about allowing the new changes and new habits that you are adapting into your life to become part of who you are an automatic.
This is the key to producing more long lasting results.
Ask yourself, "are these new changes and new habits that I am implementing into my life and journey changes that I can see myself sustaining over the next year or two (The long haul)?" And then continuing to stack on those with new changes and new habits.
The point here is that after a year or two has passed, I can guarantee you that if you have remain consistent with the changes and habits you've adapted into your lifestyle, those changes and habits will have literally become part of who you are an automatic. THAT IS THE KEY!
You see, where the long lasting permanent results primarily happen, is psychologically and mentally.
This is why I've been able to keep my weight off, sustainably and easily without thinking about it for over 6 years now.
It's not some magic pill or magic thing that I do, it is simply that I changed mentally and psychologically into a completely different person. When it comes to food, the things I look at are different, the questions I ask are different than what they were before, the way I eat now is different than what it was before, etc.
In your journey, you will definitely transform physically. But in order for that transformation to be long lasting and permanent, you MUST transform mentally and psychologically and do it in a way that is sustainable and even gradual so that it literally changes you! And the habits and changes that you make along the way must always be sustainable for the long-haul of a year or two. Even the new ones that you stack on the current ones that have now become easy and part of you.
And this means, it is no longer about "going on a diet "!!!
NEVER EVER say again "I need to go on a diet!"
The journey is also going to be about EMBRACING! What exactly do I mean by that?
Before I get into that, your journey is also going to be about EXPECTING. And just what do I mean by that?
In your journey you are definitely going to have potholes, flat tires, valleys, steep mountains, and the like.
You get to go into your journey expecting that you were going to face challenges and plateaus. You then get to embrace those challenges as an opportunity to learn, grow, get better, get wiser, and get stronger.
You cannot expect your journey to be some kind of a unicorn filled road with nothing but cherries and roses and pink bunnies. LOL. Are there going to be some smooth times like that? Absolutely! And you get to celebrate those times.
On the flipside of that, you get to embrace the times that aren't so smooth. And that also means the plateaus. Trust me, I remember how frustrating plateaus can be. One particular plateau I had, I swear it lasted forever. It was about a 5 to 6 month period. But it did not stop me. I continued moving forward on my journey whether I was seeing the results or not. All I had to do is just find a little tweak and change that was going to get the needle moving again.
And eventually, it definitely did start moving in the right direction again.
See, this is why it cannot be about a diet!! Because I'm gonna tell you some thing, when you finally reach your weight goal, there is definitely going to be a great celebration around that. But all of the treasure, all the gold, and all the valuable gems are going to be found back in your journey.
All the milestones you hit, all the ah-ha moments you had, all the things you learned along the way.....all of it!! That's the treasure, that's the valuable gold!! And a diet literally skips all of that! Approaching your journey like a diet literally robs you of all of it.
And it robs you of long lasting and permanent results!
